Perspectives from elderly people
Now a days, technological improvements have been made so rapidly that I, like any other elderly people, am having trouble catching up with the changes.
When we go to ride a train, there are only few machines that allow paper tickets. When we go shopping, we see many people paying with only one touch of that mini machine and sometimes, with their phones. Especially when the store is crowded, young people look at me irritated since I take so much time taking out cash from my wallet.
How are WE supposed to catch up? When we were young, we never had those machines. We are used to using something we can see physically. Using electric payments? How do we know how much money we are using and how much is left? It’s hard to trust, and too reluctant to apply the changes around us.
What is happening to the world? Where did cash go??
