Which country was the first country to develop cashless payment?

Currency has been around for ever. But can the same thing be said towards cashless? What was the first country and what kind of cashless style they came up with. According to the book down blow, the first place to have cashless is Sweden's central bank Sveriges Riksbank, in 1661. They made a the thing we know as banknotes or checks.
